It is through the faithful service of our Mentors and Prayer Partners that we are able to reach out to our community and touch the precious lives of the children at our public elementary achools. How exciting to be the hands and feet and heart of Jesus for boys and girls who may never get a chance to hear of His love for them. We get to show that love AND honor the separation of church and state. MENTOR~The KHUSA Mentor will provide one-to-one mentoring and affirmation for one child from grades K-4 for one hour once a week at Bibich Elementary School . The Mentor will often use materials provided by the teacher to help the child achieve a specific objective. After each mentoring session, the Mentor is required to complete a Daily Progress Report summarizing the mentoring session.

PRAYER PARTNER~The KHUSA Prayer Partner makes a commitment to faithfully pray for a KHUSA Mentor and the child he/she is assigned. The Prayer Partner should contact the Mentor on a regular basis to get a progress report on the relationship, the child's strengths and weaknesses and any other prayer needs including joys and concerns.

SUPER-SUBSTITUTE MENTOR~Super-Subs provide a critical link in maintaining a relationship that is being formed with the child. Subs provide continued one-to-one mentoring and affirmation for a child presently involved in Kids Hope USA when his/her regular Mentor is unavailalbe. Your promary role will be to affirm the child. Your presence when the regular Mentor is absent says to the child, "Yes, we are committed to you!" Super-Subs are used on an as-needed basis..
